Zagreb to Zurich

Thanks for the prompt reply. If I buy the Croatia pass with France/ Switzerland pass, does that cover the fare for the direct night train from Zagreb to Zurich? Is that service available daily and what time? Does that count for a free day of travel because its a night train?

Thanks!

Hello Alen,

Thanks for your question.

If you have a pass still reservations are required for you to travel on high-speed trains, overnight trains, scenic trains and border crossing trains.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "book a compulsory seat reservation when using your rail pass & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

If an overnight train starts after 7:00pm and arrives after 4:00 a.m. on a validated Eurail Select Pass, the Pass holder must enter the next day’s date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.

And if an overnight train starts before 7:00pm on a validated Eurail Select Pass, the Pass holder has to fill in two days on the pass: the starting day’s date and the arrival day’s date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.

Please note that a rail pass allows you to travel extensively within the countries you have chosen. If you plan only 2 - 3 train journeys during your stay in Europe, point to point tickets will certainly be cheaper than a rail pass.

Hope this helps.
