Which rail pass should i buy?

Hi! We have a couple of things to confirm.

1.With the Eurail Pass, is it only for country to country, cities to cities or within the city as well? i.e. when in paris i can go to any train station to travel within the city during the day?

2. If you could help us with some recommendation on which pass we should buy we would be so thankful.

Our itinerary is as follow:

26 May Arrive Amsterdam

26 May Amsterdam - Brussels

28 May Brussels - Zurich

30 May Zurich - Lucerne

2 Jun Lucerne - Paris

6 Jun Paris - Amsterdam

9 Jun Leave Amsterdam

Hello Edwin,

Thanks for the question.

As you are travelling many cities you can purchase Eurail Benelux-France-Switzerland Pass for your travel. Under Eurail Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg is considered as one country which is Benelux. This pass will allow you to travel on all regional and domestic trains in the countries.

The pass is not valid for travel within a city or for travel on any other transports.

You can use the pass to travel on only trains from one city to another, within a country as well as cities from one country to another.

Note that for your travel from Zurich to Amsterdam you will need to travel via Paris.

To purchase the pass click "Here".

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
