Trip to Europe in May 2018

Hello, we are travelling to Europe in May 2018 for 35 days. We are all 23 years old. I have several questions.

1. We will go to 5 countries. May you suggest the trains or pass that is suitable for us? Our itinerary is as below.

  • 22/5 - 26/5 at London
  • 26/5 - 31/5 at Paris
  • 31/5 - 3/6 at Amsterdam
  • 3/6 - 6/6 at Berlin
  • 6/6 - 10/6 at Munich
  • 11/6 - 14/6 at Venice
  • 15/6 at Pisa
  • 15/6 - 18/6 at Florence
  • 18/6 - 19/6 at Rome
  • 19/6 - 24/6 at Sicily
2. When should we buy the ticket if we want to get a cheapest ticket or pass?

3. We may take Eruostar from London to Paris. For other 4 countries, I found that there is an “Eurail Select Pass 4 countries”. Is it a good option for us to buy this pass for our itinerary.

4. We are all under 27. Can we buy the youth ticket? If yes, do we need to prove that we are youth?

Thank you so much! :)

Dear Tiffany,

Thanks for the question.

As per your Itinerary, Eurail Select Pass 4 countries with Benelux, Germany, France, Italy is advised for your travel.

To purchase the Pass click "Here".

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass. With a Pass you can travel on regional/intercity trains within a country.

Currently there are promotions going on for Passes. You can purchase the Pass now as well for your travel in May as the travel period for Promotion pass is from 03/10/2017 and 27/11/2018. Kindly check under "Terms and conditions" which is under "Book now" tab to view the After Sales Policy of the Pass

You will receive passholder fares from London to Paris with Eurail Pass including France for which you will need to purchase seat reservations and it will be counted as a journey in the day of the Pass.

Youth Pass is from 12 - 27 years. However, on the website the last age for youth passenger is 25 years. You will need to drop an email on the below email id and our team will make an Offline booking for Youth Pass.

Kindly note that pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "I have a rail Pass" on the home page of our website under "Book Train tickets" & then select the name of the pass and feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on "Search". Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

The booking horizon for seat reservations is 3 months prior your train departure date hence you can book accordingly as the booking for your sector is not yet open on the website.

Hope this helps!!!

Kind Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
