Travelling with a Labrador from Frankfurt to Nurenmberg

I see from previous questions that it is possible to travel with a dog in Germany. I'm interested in the connection from Frankfurt to Nuremberg. Where can I check conditions for this route, i.e. muzzle or cages requirements? Can you give me a web link?

How can I know if these same conditions apply to other connections in Germany?

Thanks i advance, Rocío

Dear Rocio,

Thanks for your question.

You will have to purchase the fare for your pet locally at the train station.

In the interests of passenger safety, please make sure your dog wears a muzzle and is kept on a leash when on board trains. If your dog is not wearing a muzzle or is not on a leash, or if a muzzle and leash are not deployed when requested by a train attendant, the attendant is entitled to remove the dog from the train. This does not apply to dogs being transported in carriers. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are not required to wear muzzles.

Always happy to help you :)
