Travelling from London - Amsterdam - Paris via rail

Hi there.

I am a South African travelling with my husband to London in Sept 2018. First time traveling to Europe. We will fly from SA to London for a few days (UK visa in progress) We want to visit Amsterdam via rail from London then travel from Amsterdam via rail to Paris (Schengan visa in progress )Our trip will end in Paris where we will fly back to SA. Please advise how it will work for us to arrive in Amsterdam and Paris (travelling via rail) will our passports/visa's be checked when we arrive in Amsterdam and Paris or will it be checked at the border ? How does this work? I need this to be confirmed prior to me securing a rail ticket for my husband and I.

Kind Regards

Felicia

Hello Felicia,

Thanks for the question.

As you are travelling only two jounreys it is best to purchase point to point tickets for your travel. You can book your travel as below :

- London To Amsterdam - Direct Eurostar train.

- Amsterdam to Paris - Direct Thalys train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

We cannot comment on Visa, you can check with the Visa authorities. Valid passport is required with the tickets. There will be check at London train station only.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
