Traveling in France and Germany

I will be traveling in France and Germany the last two weeks of October 2016. I will be leaving from Paris and going to Grenoble, traveling back to Paris, leaving from Paris and going to Lille, traveling back to Paris, traveling from Paris to Munich, then finally returning to Paris. Am I counting correctly that this will be 6 days of travel then when it comes to validity for a pass? Is my best purchase then the 6 day France/Germany pass or would I need the pass that is valid for additional days?

Hello Julia,

Thanks for the question.

You can purchase France Rail Pass for your travel in France.

To purchase France Rail Pass click "Here".

For your travel to Munich, you can purchase point to point ticket as follows:

- Strasbourg to Munich via Stuttgart - France-Germany High Speed and Eurocities trains.

- Munich to Strasbourg via Stuttgart - ICE and France-Germany High Speed trains.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass. With a Pass you can travel on regional/intercity trains within a country.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
