travel to belfort

Travel to Belfort France. I am enquiring as to which is the best (fastest and/or most economical) route to arrive at Belfort from Canada, via TGV from Charles de Gaulle airport, Orly airport, or from Basel airport in Switzerland. Also which train station (and how to get to train station) to take the train from and how long it will take. Can I book my tickets in advance? My plan is to arrive April 6th or 7th to get to Belfort for a course and then travel to Paris on the 14th. Thank you. suzannah_ngo@yahoo.ca

Hello Suzannah,

Thanks for your question.

There is a direct train connecting from Paris Cdg Airport 2 TGV to Belfort.

You would have to travel as follows:

Paris Cdg Airport 2 TGV to Belfort – direct TGV train

Or

Basel SBB Station to Belfort via Mulhouse Ville – TER trains

Please note that your travel sector can be booked only 3 months in advance.

Hence as your travel is in April 2014, I won't be able to comment on train schedules as they are subject to change.

Please try closer to your departure date.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I was checking on your site for trains from CDG airport to Belfort but I only see one departure at 19:58 and arrival time at 22:53 for a direct train. Will there be other times added to the schedule as our flight arrives at CDG at 8:30? And how long do you think it will be before new schedule times will be posted?

Thank you.

Also, seeing that it is a shorter distance from Basel to Belfort and being less expensive, I was wondering if we fly into Basel instead of CDG and take the TER train instead, do we have to go through another customs check to travel into France? Will it be more troublesome? Please advise asap. Thank you.
