Hello Lee Kwai Ling,

Thanks for the question.

As you will be traveling extensively in Switzerland and France, it is best to purchase France – Switzerland Pass for your travel.

To purchase France – Switzerland Pass click “Here”.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.

Hi Leora, thank you for your reply.

I had booked the France-Switzerland Pass yesterday following your suggestion. The booking number is 35035987. A few questions:

1. For the TGV reservations, do I need to make the reservations after my pass was collected?

2. I can't find the TGV (Lyria, Bern to Paris and Paris to Marseille) seat reservation have a "use Euro Pass" button shown, I tried to add to my purchase chart and that is a full payment?

iF i Used the pass to make reservation on TGV, all I need to pay is only the reservation fee, right?

Thank you for your time, best wishes

Doris

Hello Doris,

Thanks for your reply.

1) Your Pass has been Invoiced and you will receive it within 8 business days. However you can go ahead with purchasing your seat reservation right away.

2) The Seat Reservation fares for TGV Lyria trains are usually high and hence the full amount is being displayed on the website.

3) Yes, you will have to only pay for Seat Reservation with a Pass. But there are certain trains such as TGV Lyria where there is not much of a difference in the reservation fee and the ticket amount.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,
