Swiss pass or French-Swiss pass

My itinerary is as follows:

March 11, 2016

Strasbourg to carpentras.

March 12, 2016

carpentras to paris

Paris to Lyon

March 13, 2016

Lyon to Geneva

Geneva to Montreux

Montreux to Lucerne: Golden Pass

Lucerne to Chur

Chur to Tirano: Bernina Express

Tirano to Davos

Davos to Zurich

I would like to know which of the following passes would be more suitable. The French-Swiss pass or the Swiss travel pass? Also kindly let me know, if any of these passes are valid between Disentis and Zermatt?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks and Regards,

Hello Nikhil,

Thanks for your question.

The Eurail France-Switzerland Pass should be the most ideal pass for your travel. This pass would give you unlimited travel on all regional and domestic trains within the two countries.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

To purchase the pass click “Here”.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
