On November 5, 2015 we will arrive in Southampton on QM@ then take the train to London where we want to board the Eurostar to Paris.

Then:

Paris to Barcelona

Barcelona to Zaragoza

Zaragoza to Madrid

Madrid to Seville

Seville to Valencia

Valencia to Nice

Nice to Genoa

Genoa to Pisa

Pisa to Rome

Rome to Florence

Florence to Venice

Venice to Milan

Milan to Zermatt

Zermatt to St. Moritz

St. Moritz to Rothenburg

Rothenburg to Frankfurt

Frankfurt to Cologne

Cologne to Brussels

Brussels to Paris

Paris to London

London to Southampton

This will be from November 5, 2015 to January 10, 2016. I know that I have to purchase the Global Pass before we leave and this is where I want to know when to make seat reservations.

Also is there a timetable booklet that we can purchase so we can plan our trip better.

Thanks

Neil

Hello Neli,

Thanks for your question.

The booking horizon for your travel segment is 2 to 3 months from the date of your travel. I suggest you book your travel closer to your travel date.

The maximum validity a Eurail Global Pass gives 15 days in 2 months, I suggest you buy 2 Eurail Global Passes and validate the other one when first expires.

An Eurail Global Pass is available in First and Second class, and this means that special fares can only be applied in First Class for adults and children, and in Second Class only for Youths.

With a Global Pass you can avail of unlimited travel on the national rail networks of the countries covered by your pass.

Reservations are mandatory on high-speed trains, night trains, scenic trains and border crossing trains.

With a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "Seat Reservations“ & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Can I just get a 2 month Global pass to cover most of the trip since we will be in Europe on November 5, 2015 and leaving Europe on January 3, 2016 which is less than 2 months.

Sorry that I am so confused by all this.

I will be stooping for 2-5 days at each destination. So would a 3 month pass be better? I don't want to have to deal with passes or tickets once we start our travels.

Hello Neil,

Thanks for your reply.

The maximum validity of a Eurail Global Pass is 15 days in 2 months.

We don’t have a 3 months pass, request you book 2 passes for a hassle free travel.
