Rail pass

Hi,

2 female travelers, aged 50 and 18. Our schedule is as follows:

10 Dec - depart from Prague to Berlin

13 Dec - depart from Berlin to Hamburg

14 Dec - depart from Hamburg to Amsterdam.

Please advise what pass should I purchase, individual or global pass? What is the difference between 1st class and 2nd class cabin.

Thank you.

Hannah

Hello Hannah,

Thanks for the question.

As per your Itinerary, point to point ticket is advised for your travel. You can book and travel as follows:

PRAHA HL.N. - BERLIN HBF (TIEF) - Intercity train.

BERLIN HBF (TIEF) - HAMBURG HBF - ICE train.

HAMBURG HBF - AMSTERDAM CENTRAAL with 1 connection at OSNABRUECK HBF - ICE and Intercity train.

The major difference is the comfort zone. First class is more comfortable than second class. In 1st class, there is more space than in 2nd class, both in terms of legroom and storage space for your luggage. The seats are more comfortable, and compartments are usually less crowded than in 2nd class.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
