Rail Pass or Point to Point?

Hi, I am travelling with 3 children (12,13, and 9yrs) and going to Lugano, Rome, Venice, Salzburg, Munich. Would it be better for a point to point ticket or Rail Pass?? There are 6 travel times over three weeks. We have clear cities we want to visit and days. Thanks

Hello Janet,

Thanks for the question.

May we know if you will be traveling to any other cities apart from the ones mentioned above along with your travel date so that we can assist you with the best rail product for your travel.

Awaiting your reply.

Kind Regards,

Hello, no other cities just the ones I mentioned before and its a day or travel each. For example, Lugano to Rome one day, Rome to Florence another day, Florence to Venice another day, Venice up to Salzburg is one day, Salzburg to Munich is one day.

Many thanks

Hello Janet,

Thanks for your reply.

We compared the cost of point to point ticket and Pass and point to point ticket is economical for your travel.

You can follow the below route:

- Lugano to Rome via Milan - Eurocities and Frecciarossa trains.

- Rome to Florence - Frecciarossa train.

- Florence to Venice - Frecciarossa train.

- Venice to Salzburg via Villach - Railjet trains.

- Salzburg to Munich - Railjet train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,
