Rail Pass or point to point?

We are a family of four - 2 adults and 2 youth ages 21 and 15. We are choosing which option might be cheaper for us? The France Rail Pass or Point to point tickets. We are looking to travelling from Nice to Arles on May 1; Arles to Paris on May 4 and Paris to Lisieux and back on May7. Would appreciate your advice on this. Much thanks.

Hello Mercy,

Thanks for your question.

Please note that a rail pass allows you to travel extensively within the countries you have chosen. If you plan only 2 - 3 train journeys during your stay in Europe, point to point tickets will certainly be cheaper than a rail pass and ensure you save money.

You can travel as follows :-

- Nice to Arles via Marseille - TGV and TER trains.

- Arles to Paris - TGV Duplxs train.

- Paris to Lisieux - Corail Intercites train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Hope this helps!!!
