26 days itinerary as below:

Which option shall I take to save some money:

1. Eurail Selection + one way combination

2. Eurail Selection + Swiss Pass/Swiss Half Fare Card

3. Eurail Global Pass throughout the journey

4. None of the above :)

Thanks in advance for giving advise

Hello Hugh,

Thanks for the question.

It is best to purchase Swiss Travel Pass for your travel in Switzerland.

For your travel from Zermatt to Milan since there is 1 connection at Visp, you can travel by regional train from Zermatt to Visp with the Swiss Travel Pass and you will have to purchase point to point ticket for your travel from Visp to Milan.

- Visp to Milan – Eurocity train.

If you are traveling to more than 4 cities in France it is advised to purchase France Rail Pass.

However if you are traveling to few cities you can purchase point to point ticket.

You can purchase point to point ticket for your travel from Barcelona to Madrid.

- Barcelona to Madrid – AVE train

To purchase Swiss Travel Pass click “Here”.

To purchase France Rail Pass click “Here”.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!
