Paris, Milan, Geneva, Zurich, Berlin, Luxemborg, Brussels, Amsterdam - 12 Days

Hi there,

I am planning to visit in April 2015. Starting from Paris, i wish to go on all the destinations i mentioned above. We would be 2 Adults. My questions are following :

a) I would definitely buy the EuRail Global Pass, with Unlimited travel option for 15 days, that would cost around 1100 euros, is that it? I would not need to pay any further amounts while doing the reservations as mentioned on your posts? If i do need to pay for the booking of each city to city trip, how much would it be tentively for example paris to amsterdam on 8th April 2015 at anytime?

b) Will the Eurail pass cover the subway or metro within each city as well or I have to pay for them seperately?

Thanks a lot in Advance.

Hello Ali,

Thanks for your question.

To start off with, the Rail Europe Global Pass is the best option for your travel as it would give you unlimited travel on the regional and intercity trains within 24 countries.

Even with a Global Pass you would have to make reservations on border crossing trains, night trains, high speed and scenic.

You would however get a passholder or discounted fares on these trains by simply going on the “Seat Reservation” tab and selecting your pass.

As fares are dynamic and subject to change, I unfortunately cannot give fare quotations. I would request you to check directly on our website.

Also you will not able to travel by the Metro and Subway of the different cities, you would have to book those locally.

For your journey travel as follows:

- Paris to MilanTGV France-Italy high speed train.

- Milan to Geneva via Visp – Cisalpino and Other trains.

- Geneva to Zurich – Eurocities train.

- Zurich to Berlin via Hanover ICE trains.

- Berlin to Amsterdam via Hanover – ICE and Eurocities trains. However there are direct trains available.

- Amsterdam to BrusselsThalys train.

- Brussels to Luxembourg – Eurocities train.

- Luxembourg to ParisTGV train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!
