Paris CDG Airport - Moutiers on 15 Dec 2014


My family and I are arriving at Paris CDG Airport on 15 Dec 2014 at 0800h. We wish to get to Moutiers by late afternoon to get up to Val Thorens for the night.

I notice there is a TGV train at 11:58h, requiring 2 connections, before arriving at Moutiers at 17:48h on 15 Dec. But the booking system says that only the 1st TGV connection includes reservation but not the other 2 connections on TER. What does it mean?

When I book and pay online, are all the 3 connections confirmed?

Appreciate your urgent advice. Thank you very much.

Thanks for your question.

Kindly note that reservations not included means it is an open ticket and one can travel any time as per their convenience, and the availability of the train within the validity printed on the ticket Please note that an open ticket can be used to travel on Intercity trains only. Also an open ticket allows you to board the train, but does not guarantee you a seat. You can make a seat reservation locally at the train station to have a guaranteed seat on the train. You cannot travel with an open ticket on high speed trains, night trains, scenic train and on Eurocity trains.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.
