Paris and Annecy

  • I'm planning to explore Paris and Annecy for a week, planning to catch a trian to Annecy from Paris and maybe from Annecy to Lyon, for a couple days then back to Paris and sightseeing around for a couple day plus one day for Disneyland!

Is the France rail pass will cover all these sectors I'm planning to do? If not what kind of ticket should I buy for the best?

Ps. And what are the options from Paris to Annecy, how long does it take between fast and normal one?

Thank you a bunch!

Hello Maemae,

Thanks for the question.

It is best to purchase France Rail Pass for your journey.

With a France Rail Pass you can travel anywhere in France during your validity period.

To purchase the France Rail Pass click"Here".

Kindly note that the closest train station to Disneyland is Marne-la-Vallée from where you can board a train.

You can follow the below route for your travel from Paris to Annecy.

- Paris to AnnecyTGV train.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
