munich to innsbruck, innsbruck to salzburg and salzburg to munich

Should I buy the tickets from now (online) or should i get them on the day from the train stations? We will be travelling on the 27th, 29th and 30th December respectively.

If I buy a ticket online let's say from Munich to Innsbruck (departure 07:35), will i be able to use the same ticket on the same day but depart at a later time (is the ticket flexible?)

Hello Stephanie,

Thanks for the question.

It is best to purchase point to point ticket for your travel. You can book and travel as follows:

- Munich to Innsbruck - Eurocity Brenner train.

- Innsbruck to Salzburg - Railjet train.

- Salzburg to Munich - Railjet train.

Tickets purchased locally at the train station are subject to availability hence it is advised to purchase tickets prior your travel.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab which is below Add to Cart to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
