Italy Pass

Hello, my husband and I will make a trip to Italy during this Christmas. We've been using RailEurope last year and before. Wondering we should purchase Europe pass or purchase each stop pass separately. I've forgotten if we can change the schedule once we have reserved. We need to go to Pisa during this trip.

Herewith our plan:

Dec 23: In Milan

Dec 24: Milan to Venice

Dec 25: Venice to Florence

Dec 25-27: Florece

Dec 27: Florence to Rome

Dec 27-30: Rome

Dec 30: Rome to Milan

Dec 30 - Jan 1: Milan

Jan: Milan to HK

Many thanks!

Hello Lai Kuen Ng,

Thanks for the question.

If you will be traveling by train from Milan to Venice, Venice to Florence, Florence to Rome and Rome to Milan it is best to purchase point to point tickets for your travel. You can follow the below route:

- Milan to Venice - Frecciarossa train.

- Venice to Florence - Frecciargento train.

- Florence to Rome - Frecciarossa train.

- Rome to Milan - Frecciarossa train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, thanks for your reply. I've brought the 8 days within One month Italy pass yesterday. Would it be ok? Can we use the Italy pass to take the round trip train to Pisa free? Or we still need to purchase another train ticket? I've reserved all seats, say Milan to Venice, Venice to Florence, Florece to Rome and Rome to Milan. However, it said too early to reserve tickets from Florece to Pisa. Many thanks for your help.

Hello Lai Kuen Ng,

Thanks for your reply.

With a Eurail Italy Pass you can travel on Regional and Regional Veloce train without seat reservations. From Florence to Pisa, there are Intercity, Regional and Regional Veloce trains. Please note, if you wish to travel on Intercity train, you will need to purchase seat reservations with a Pass. However, if you wish to travel on Regional and Regional Veloce trains, you can travel free with your Pass without seat reservations.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab which is below "Proceed to Shopping Cart" to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Kind Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
