Is Global Pass valid in the Netherlands?

I can find schedules in order to book and make seat reservations in France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany but not in the Netherlands. When you want to book point to point, the website shows the train times but nothing if you try to make reservations as a global pass holder.

Hello Maria,

Thanks for your question.

Yes The Netherlands is a part of the Eurail Global Pass.

With a Eurail Global Pass you can avail of unlimited travel on the national rail networks of the 24 European countries covered by the pass.

Passes can be purchased up to 6 months before your first day of travel. The pass must be validated within 6 months from the original date of issue.

With Eurail Global Pass you can travel free on the regional and intercity trains.

Reservations are mandatory on high-speed trains, night trains, scenic trains and border crossing trains.

With a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "book a compulsory seat reservation when using your rail pass & without selecting the type of pass, feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website

Hope this helps.
