Is a reservation Mandatory on the following train jouneys using the BritRail pass: London to windermere, Windermere to Edinburgh and Edinburgh to Lond

Hello Pooja,

Thanks for the question.

With a BritRail Pass, you can travel on all regional and Intercity trains within a country.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

The sectors you wish to travel to i.e. London to Windermere, Windermere to Edinburgh and Edinburgh to London are “Open ticket” sectors where reservation is not mandatory as it is free seating and based on first come basis.
