Hello Jac,

Thanks for your question.

The Black Forest lies in Baden-Württemberg in the southwest of Germany.

You would have to travel as follows :

- Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans (return) – Bus. You would have to book locally.

- Amsterdam to Baden Baden via Frankfurt - ICE trains.

- Baden Baden to Munich via Mannheim ICE trains.

- Munich to Cologne - ICE train.

- Cologne to Fussen via Munich – ICE and Eurocites trains.

- Fussen to Augsburg - Eurocites train.

- Augsburg to SalzburgRailjet train.

- Salzburg to Innsbruck - Railjet train.

As you are travelling extensively in Germany, I suggest that you purchase a German Rail Pass.

With a German Rail Pass, you can travel free on trains operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB) on the national rail network of Germany, inclusive of Salzburg.

However for your other sectors outside Germany, you would have to purchase point to point tickets.

Request you to check the schedule and book tickets directly on our website.

Hope this helps!!!

Regards,

Aamir, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
