Hamburg to Plovdiv in 24hrs?!

I need travel from Hamburg, Germany to Plovdiv, Bulgaria, leaving anytime Saturday 3rd May and arriving before 10am the next day.

I'm really struggling with flights. Can anyone help with any rail suggestions? Could do rail/fly combo...

Would really appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks.

Hello David,

Thanks for your question.

As there are no direct trains from Hamburg to Plovdiv, you would have to break your journey as:

Hamburg to Budapest via Dresden /Munich – Eurocity/ ICE and Euronight train

Budapest to Beograd – Eurocity / Other train

Beograd to Sofia - Other train

Sofia to Plovdiv – Regional train. You would have to book this sector locally.

Please note that Hungarian train can be booked 3 months in advance, however the Slovakian trains can only be booked 2 months in advance.

Hence as your travel is in May 2014, I won't be able to comment on train schedules as they are subject to change.

Please try closer to your departure date.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps.
