Graz, Austria to Milan or verona - what is the best way to go?

We are travelling August 14th from Graz, Austria (2 adults) to Milan preferably. I am having some trouble navigating the website to see if there are direct trains, night trains etc... how should I search? I realise it may be a little early to buy tickets but I'd like to see how easy/hard this trip will be.

Hello Heidi,

Thanks for the question.

Unfortunately there are no direct trains for this route, however there is Night train for your travel Graz to Milan. You can book your travel as below:

- Graz to Milan via 1 connection at Zurich - OBB Nightline and Cisalpino trains.

Kindly note the bookings open 4 months in advance to the travel date. Hence you can book after 14th April. However, you can follow the below procedure and add in recent dates to get an estimate of cost and schedules.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Thanks so much!

Just to clarify for me;

  • If I were to book two 'best fare' second class sleeper, we would be in a cabin on our own, or would it be shared with two others?
  • Would I need to make a reservation separately or that included in the above fare?

Thanks again, I really appreciate it :)

Hello Heidi,

Thanks for the reply.

Information regarding the sleeper sharing or separate cabins depend on the fare you are booking and the class listed under the fare.

Once the booking is open for your travel you can click on the "Fare Details" tab below the add to cart button and check if the reservation is included and also regarding the sleeper cabin or sharing beds.

Help! I tried to book the tickets above in a first class sleeper for August 14th and got the message that the booking could not go ahead at this time.

Today I tried to book them again and the search came back with no sleepers available. Who can I contact to make this booking? We really need the bed for the night!!
