From Edinburgh to York, to Manchester, to Bath, to London. Would a rail pass cover these cities?

Hi, I'm planning to travel in a number of cities in the UK. Starting from Edinburgh on the 27th July to York, then to Manchester on the 30th. After that, I plan to visit Bath and Brighton, before arriving at London. Would a rail pass be recommended, and does it cover those cities? Please advise.

Hello Kenneth,

Thanks for your question.

For your travel in Scotland, England and Wales you can buy the BritRail Pass.

With the BritRail Pass, you can travel where you please, whenever you want! Take as many trains as you like, there is no limit on the distance you can travel in a day.

The BritRail Pass gives you access to all trains, but remember that premium trains require a seat reservation.

The BritRail Pass is the key to have a hassle-free trip throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Reservations are mandatory on high-speed trains, night trains, scenic trains and border crossing trains.

With a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "Seat Reservations“ & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!
