Hello Ron,

Thanks for your question.

You would have to travel as follows:

Athens to Magdeburg via Stassfurt – Bus and Regional train. You would have to book this sector locally

Magdeburg to Munich via Leipzig / Halle Saale – Eurocity and ICE train

Munich to Venice – direct Eurocitybrenner train

Venice to Milan – direct Frecciabianca train

Milan to Rome – direct Frecciarossa / Italo train

Rome to Zurich via Milan – Frecciarossa and Cisalpino trains

Zurich to Erfurt via Frankfurt – ICE and Eurocity trains

Erfurt to Athens via Stassfurt –Regional train and Bus. You would have to book this sector locally

I would suggest that you purchase a Eurail Global Pass. With a Eurail Global Pass you can travel unlimited on the national rail networks of 24 European countries covered by the pass.

However all trains that travel internationally, night trains, scenic trains and high speed trains would require reservations.

With a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “ I have a rail pass” tab on the home page of our website http://www.raileurope-world.com/&; then feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website

Hope this helps.
