Euro Global Pass

I plan to travel in May 2018 to Europe. My question is if the Euro Global pass would cover the following travels:

1. Train and Bus services in Zurich

2. Train from Grindlewald to First

3. TGV from Lausanne to Paris

4. Train, tube and Bus services in Paris

5. TGV from Paris to London

6. Train, Tube and Bus services in London

Hello Kee Liang Chan,

Thanks for the question.

1. With a Eurail Global Pass you can only travel by train from one city to another and from one country to another. Local transport is not included in the Pass hence Bus service is not included. The same has to be checked locally.

2. There are cable cars from Grindelwald to First and you will receive discount with the Pass on cable cars. Cable car booking has to be done locally itself.

3. As Lausanne to Paris is via TGV Lyria which is a high speed train, you will need to purchase seat reservations on this train. Seat reservations are at a discounted price with a Pass.

4. Tube and Bus transport is not included in the Pass. Hence you will not be able to travel by Tube and Bus in Paris with the Pass and the same has to be checked locally. You can travel by train from one city to another city and from one country to another country.

5. There are Eurostar trains from Paris to London which are high speed trains. You will need to purchase seat reservations for this route with your Pass. There are no TGV trains from Paris to London.

6. Travel within United Kingdom is not included in Eurail Global Pass. Hence, train, tube and Bus services in London is not included in the Pass.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass. With a Pass you can travel on regional/intercity trains within a country.

Kindly note that pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "I have a rail Pass" on the home page of our website under "Book Train tickets" & then select the name of the pass and feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on "Search". Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Hope this helps!!!

Kind Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
