Dear Huiyuan,

Thank you for your question.

Swiss Travel Pass is advised for your travel.

For your travel from Offenburg to Basel you will have to book point to point tickets.

With a Swiss Pass you can travel free on intercity trains within Switzerland.

With a Swiss Pass you can travel free within Switzerland on the STS (Swiss Travel System) network on trains, buses and boats. Also with a Swiss Pass you would get discounts on mountain excursions within Switzerland. This discounts can only be availed locally by showing your Swiss Pass to the ticketing office in Switzerland.

In order to book a pass, please visit our website.

Hope this helps!!!

Regards,

Aamir, Rail Europe Travel Expert.

Hi Aamir, thanks for your prompt reply. Another question regarding the benefits of the pass as stated below, are they valid for the entire month or only the 4 flexible days that I've chosen?

  • Free public transportation systems in main Swiss Cities.
  • Special Passholder fares on TGV Lyria
  • Special passholder fares on CityNightLine (on the route from/to Switzerland).
  • Free admission to more than 490 museums and exhibits in Switzerland.
  • 50% discount with the Swiss Travel Pass on Cable cars and Mountain trains. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass Flex, the use of a travel day is required to benefit from the discount.

Dear Huiyuan,

Thank you for your question.

A rail day last from midnight to midnight you can travel unlimited within the days you have chosen. If you have chosen 4 days, you can travel any 4 days within 1 month.

With a Swiss Pass you can travel free on intercity trains within Switzerland.

TGV Lyria is from Paris -Zurich vice versa, you will get discounted fare with this pass.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "seat reservation" & then feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Hope this helps!!!
