Essen to amsterdam to paris to interlaken to rome

My brother and I are planning a trip from aug 8-aug 20th. We are planning to start in Essen, germany and go to amsterdam from there. From Amsterdam go to paris, interlaken, and then rome. We were wondering what would be the best train ticket to purchase (single tickets, eurail global pass for 15 days, etc.?) And what trains would be best to take between each location? Thank you for any help!

Hello Monica,

Thanks for your question.

As you are traveling extensively within Europe, I would suggest you to purchase a Eurail Global Pass.

Eurail Global Pass you can travel unlimited on the national rail networks of 24 European countries.

Passes can be purchased up to 6 months before your first day of travel. The pass must be validated within 6 months from the original date of issue.

All cross-border trains, night trains, scenic trains and high speed trains will require reservations. However with a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Hope this helps!!!
