Dublin to Amsterdam to Paris

Hi there!

We are planning our honeymoon! Looking to do something different :)

2 weeks.

We are looking to travel across Ireland (By car, or by bus)

From Dublin, to Kilkenny, to Waterford, to Cork, to Killarney, then to Limerick.

From there we would look to fly to Amsterdam for a few days (Maybe take some day trips to surrounding places) and end the trip by taking a train to Paris.

What would you suggest for us planning this trip?

Hello Breelyn,

Thanks for your question.

As you are travelling extensively within Ireland, I suggest that you purchase a Ireland Pass.

However for your travel outside Ireland you would have to purchase point to point tickets as follows:

- Amsterdam to Paris - Thalys train

With a Ireland Pass you can avail of unlimited travel on the national rail networks of Ireland.

Passes can be purchased up to 6 months before your first day of travel. The pass must be validated within 6 months from the original date of issue.

Reservations are mandatory on high-speed trains, night trains, scenic trains and border crossing trains.

With a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares).

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking here & then feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

You can also refer to our travel magazine Connexion for sample itineraries.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aamir, Rail Europe Travel Expert
