Can one get on a TGV part way through its route

For instance. I want to go from St Raphael to Ventimiglia. There is a TGV from Paris that goes through St Raphael but I am not given a trip option that includes using it...

Hello Harry,

Thanks for your reply.

There are no TGV trains from St Raphael to Ventimiglia as there are TER trains for your route.

- St Raphael to Ventimiglia - TER trains.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Again not a really useful answer.

I know there is a TGV that runs from Paris to Cannes. The same train stops at St Raphael. So in theory there is a TGV from St Raphael to Cannes.

So - this suggests that there is a policy that one can only get on a TGV if one is starting or ending one's ride at Paris.

Do you know if this is correct?

thanks Harry

Hello Harry,

Thanks for your reply!!!

When we are checking for a closer departure date, there are TGV trains for your route. The booking horizon for your sector is 3 months prior your train departure date hence you can book in June for your travel in September and check if TGV trains are available for your route.

Hope this helps!!!
