Britrail pass - which trains allow seat reservation

Hi,

I'm trying to travel from London to Glasgow to Inverness to London.

I have tried to reserve seats on but seem unable to. There are in fact trains (ATOC trains) at the times and origins/destinations, but just can't seem to reserve seats.

The Rail Europe website states re: Britrail passes, "Most regional trains do not require a seat reservation." It would be nice to know if the trains I am trying to reserve seats on are regional ones or not.

There is no explanation other than, "No schedules match your request." See image below:

Is there a list of which train companies allow reservations for my route? I cannot find any list on RailEurope's website.

cheers and thanks

Dear Gene,

Thanks for your question.

Passholder reservation for your journeys cannot be booked online on our website.

You will have to book locally.

"Passholder reservation for your journeys cannot be booked online on our website:

Does that mean I will still get a reservation discount since I will have Britrail passes?
