Hello Adetobi,

As you are traveling extensive through Europe, I would suggest that you purchase the Eurail Global Pass. This pass would give you unlimited travel on all regional and national trains within 28 European countries.

The following route would be the best route as most of your travel have multiple connections by train. I suggest that you travel and book as follows:

- Madrid to Lisbon – Trenhotel train.

- Lisbon to Setubal – Book and travel locally. This journey is a short journey south of Lisbon.

- Lisbon to Madrid – Trenholel train.

- Madrid to MarseilleFrance-Spain High Speed train.

- Marseille to Frankfurt France-Germany High Speed train.

- Frankfurt to BerlinICE train

- Berlin to Hamburg – ICE train.

- Hamburg to Copenhagen - ICE train.

- Copenhagen to Malmo – Oresund train.(Book locally as it isn’t bookable on our website).

- Malmo to Oslo via Goeteborg – X2000 and Eurocites trains.

- Oslo to Stockholm – X2000 train.

- Stockholm to Helsinki via Maarianhamina – Ferry service book locally.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

To purchase the pass click “Here”.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
