I'm will be visiting Europe next month with Wife and 3 kids aged 9,13 and 17 years. May you please suggest

- if I should go for Swiss Pass for me.my wife and eldest daughter as 2 kids will be free with us

- for the rest of the tour should I go for Eurail Global Pass ?

My itinerary is :

Land in Zurich on 26th July

Zurich - Rheinfall -zurich on 27th July

Zurich - Mt.Titlis - Zurich on 28 July

Zurich to Interlaken on 29th July

Interlaken - Jungfra - Interlaken on 30th July

Interlaken to Rust (Germany) on 31st July

Rust - Paris on 2nd Aug

Paris to Barcelona on 5th Aug

Barcelona to Madrid on 8th Aug

Madrid - Cordoba - Madrid on 10th Aug

Retrun back home

As you are traveling extensively in Switzerland, it is best to purchase Swiss Travel Pass for your journey.

To purchase Swiss Travel Pass click “Here”.

With a Swiss Travel Pass you can travel from Interlaken to Basel and from Basel to Freiburg you will have to purchase point to point ticket as there are no train stations in Rust and the closest train station is Freiburg.

For your travel in Spain, you can purchase Renfe Spain Pass.

To purchase Renfe Spain Pass click “Here”.

You will have to purchase point to point ticket from Paris to San Sebastian and from San Sebastian to Barcelona and onwards you can travel with your Renfe Spain pass. Kindly note that with a Renfe Spain Pass you will have to retrieve seat reservations at the train station subject to availability as seat reservations are included in your Pass.

You can purchase point to point tickets for the below sectors.

- Basel to Freiburg – ICE train.

- Freiburg to Paris via Karlsruhe – ICE and France-Germany High Speed trains.

- Paris to San Sebastian via Irun – TGV and Regional trains.

Swiss Pass Details –

Children below 16 years are free if accompanied by the at least one parent having a Swiss Pass. We issue a Swiss family card for children.

With a Swiss Travel Pass you can travel free within Switzerland on the STS (Swiss Travel System) network on trains, buses and boats. Also with a Swiss Pass you would get discounts on mountain excursions within Switzerland. These discounts can only be availed locally by showing your Swiss Pass to the ticketing office in Switzerland.

With a Swiss Travel Pass you can travel free on intercity trains within Switzerland.

Grindelwald/ Lauterbrunnen– Jungfraujoch : Mountain Train/Cable Car ride, has to be booked locally. You will get a discount with the Swiss Travel Pass.

You can follow the below route for your travel to Mt Titlis.

Lucerne – Engelberg – Titlis

Lucerne – Engelberg : Free with the Swiss Pass.

Engelberg to Mt Titlis – cable car ride, will take around 9 minutes. You will have to book this sector locally. With a Swiss Pass you will get discounts on mountain excursions.

With a Swiss Travel Pass you will require compulsory seat reservations on Scenic trains.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.
