Advice on which pass to purchase.

Hello, I'm hoping for some advice on the best pass to purchase.

I will be travelling through Europe for approximately 3 months, most likely through France, Spain and Italy though I may venture to Portugal or Austria.

I will commence by travelling from Paris to Pau, then 2 weeks later travelling from Pau to Quimper, then onwards 2 weeks after that.

Could someone please recommend that best pass for me? I heard there is a 3 country pass that may suit me.

Thank you so much.

Hello Ebony,

Thanks for your question.

Kindly note that the Eurail 3 country pass has been discontinued from 1st April 2014. If you are planning to visit France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Austria, then the best rail pass for your travel would be the Eurail Global Pass.

The Eurail Global Pass offers you unlimited travel on the national rail networks of 24 European countries.

Passes can be purchased up to 6 months before your first day of travel. The pass must be validated within 6 months from the original date of issue.

All cross-border trains, night trains, scenic trains and high speed trains will require reservations. However with a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares)

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "book a compulsory seat reservation when using your rail pass & then feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

In order to book a pass, please visit our website.

Hope this helps!!!
